The UPLB Housing Office awarded nine UPLB staff with housing units on July 27 at the Obdulia F. Sison Hall.

Out of the 60 employees who submitted their application for the vacancies announced last March 30, eight research, extension and professional staff and faculty staff were granted with family academic housing units. Meanwhile, one administrative staff was granted with a family administrative housing unit.

All the applicants underwent thorough evaluation based on the merit selection guidelines of the 2008 UPLB Housing Policies, Rules and Regulations (UHPRR). They were assessed for their length of service, educational attainment, income, dependents, merit awards, and additional administrative assignment/s.

An orientation immediately followed the awarding ceremony to familiarize the new housing beneficiaries with the 2008 UHPRR.

The five-year period housing contracts of the new beneficiaries will take effect on 16 August 2022. (Melvin Cordez)
